Net and Ipod addiction

The world is wired for constant information and communication and it appears we are getting sucked in that it is a necessity. 64% of young people get anxious if they cannot use the internet. Unfortunately it encourages more and more of those qualities that men in anger management have that lead trouble. The use of face book seems to encourage narcissism, sending text message immediately sets and anticipation f a quick reply which leads to anxiety. it’s called internet use disorder  or iDisorder. Research indicates young people find it harder to look eye to eyeball and prefer texting each other. They felt ’less than’ when interacting in person.

200 internet addiction

The brain gets overstretched by constant multi tasking It takes in a lot of facts but doesn’t get the opportunity to think or reflect and is constantly chasing  information through “links”. This impacts critical thinking and recall. In this state of semi permanent anxiety there is little room to know one feels always thinking that more information is going to lead to more control and more power.

It is mind boggling that a study of 8 to 18 year olds spend 11 hours a day on line. A major component of anger  management is learning how to protect yourself. Unfortunately what’s happening will produce a weaker emotional core leading to more anxiety, stress and anger . We haven’t figured out how to use this technology to serve us in generating more emotional knowledge and protection.

  1. An interesting discussion is worth comment. I think that you should write
more on this subject, it may not be a taboo matter but generally folks don’t discuss these issues.
To the next! All the best!!
